Music Meets Fashion: A Battle Jacket Instillation

One of the first things you notice about a person is what they are wearing. Fashion is a significant way to express one's individuality. One way to express yourself and give a big middle finger to society is through battle jackets. Each jacket I made here has a particular motivation and aesthetic, from feminine rage to Friday 13th to a battle jacket a baby would wear. My installation centered this culturally significant garment, bringing together my work in music and fashion at College. It is my first battle jacket collection of many.
